Canal Fulton Public Library Announcements
All children through 6th grade are invited to CATCH THE READING BUG @ THE CANAL FULTON PUBLIC LIBRARY. Registration begins June 2 for the FREE two month-long summer reading program which will include weekly program events, crafts, contests, prize incentives and storytimes. Highlights of the program will be a Butterfly Booth with real butterflies and an Akron ZooMobile visit. Pick up a calendar of events at the library, check the website at www.canalfultonlibrary, or call the Children's Department at 330-854-4148 for more information. The Library is located at 154 Market Street in Canal Fulton and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

THESE PROGRAMS REQUIRE ADVANCE REGISTRATION:
Akron ZooMobile: July 30 at 2:00 p.m. Backyard animals and insects.
THESE PROGRAMS REQUIRE NO REGISTRATION, BUT PARENTS MUST ATTEND:
FLUTTER & BUZZ: July 2 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Flying insect crafts and activities.
CREEPY CRAWLY: July 7 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Creepy bug crafts and activities.
GOOD-BAD-BUGLY: July 22 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Surprise crafts and activities.
PICNIC ON THE PATIO STORYTIME: Thursdays, June 12-July 17 at 12:00 - 12:30. Bring your lunch and listen to stories!

Community Band Performance
Canal Fulton/Clinton Community Band under the direction of Chuck Haas will be performing at Chapel Hill Retirement Community on July 21st, @ 7:30 pm. Weather Permitting it will be held in the courtyard. This event is open to the public. |

Volunteers Needed
Barberton Hospice & Palliative Care, a division of Hospice of Medina County, is looking for volunteers to visit patients in their homes, nursing facilities, and hospitals. Duties often include respite time for caregivers, reading to patients, running errands, writing letters, and various tasks to assist patients and families. Office volunteers are also needed.
Volunteer training is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 8 - July 31, 2008, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., at Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton. Minimum age is 18. To schedule an interview, please call Wendy Klubnik, Volunteer Liaison, at 330-861-0400 or 1-800-700-4771. |
